Ultherapy
Ultherapy is a new type of non-surgical, non-invasive procedure that uses ultrasound and the body’s own natural healing process to lift, tone, and tighten loose skin. This non-invasive Ultherapy® procedure is U.S. FDA-cleared to lift skin on the neck, on the eyebrow and under the chin as well as to improve lines and wrinkles on the décolletage.

The Ultherapy Facelift
Ultherapy is a one-time non-surgical treatment that lifts and tightens lax facial skin to reverse the signs of aging in the brow, upper face, lower face, chin and neck. Reversing the damage wrought by gravity, sun exposure, toxins and time, Ultherapy employs a quadruple ultrasound imaging process that allows the clinician to actually see beneath the surface of the skin. This enables the clinician to pinpoint those areas that need the rejuvenation of increased collagen. Renewed collagen production restores the loose skin’s ability to retract, thereby returning to the face shape, definition, and a look of youth.

What distinguishes Ultherapy from other non-surgical procedures for facial rejuvenation is the ultra-lifting power of ultrasound. This energy has the capacity to penetrate down to the deepest structural layers of the skin – just as a plastic surgeon’s scalpel does. Thus, Ultherapy is able to reach those tissues that stimulate collagen production. This focused stimulation is especially effective when addressing the lax, hanging skin of neck and chin, as well as the furrowed, frown lines across brow and between the eyes.
How long does the procedure take? When Can I return to Work?
Ultherapy requires a single visit, lasting about two hours. You can return to work the next day. Most of the time, there are minimal to no external marks. The results will develop over the course of 2-3 months and some patients have reported continued improvement for up to 6 months, including lifting and tightening of the skin on the neck, under the chin, along the jawline, and on the brow. While ultrasound does not duplicate the results of surgery, Ultherapy has proven to be an inviting alternative for those who are not yet ready for surgery.
Does Ultherapy Hurt?
According to patient reports, there is some pain associated with ultherapy. This makes sense, since enough energy is being delivered to induce the body to start remodeling and repairing. The pain levels are tolerable by most patients and go away at the end of the procedure.

Ultherapy

Ultrasound imaging allows doctors to see where the treatment energy will be delivered.

Focused Ultrasound. No Surgery.
Ultherapy harnesses the power of ultrasound to transform the brow, chin, neck and chest. Ultrasound, of course, has been used throughout the medical field for more than 50 years—and Ultherapy has been established as effective in clinical studies* and in over a million treatments worldwide.

Ultherapy relies on ultrasound therapy to deliver its collagen-boosting treatment. It also incorporates traditional ultrasound imaging, which allows practitioners to see the layers of tissue they are treating, ensuring the treatment energy is delivered to where it will be most beneficial.

Ultherapy Treatment Plan
The procedure typically takes 60-90 minutes depending on the areas being treated, i.e. upper face, lower face, neck, or full face and neck. During this treatment, a hand piece is passed across the brow, cheeks, chin and neck. Ultrasound imaging technology allows the clinician to identify exactly the areas that need to be treated via the delivery of focused ultrasound energy.

The body’s response to this energy is gradual yet can be dramatic, as the production of collagen is shifted into high gear. Fibrous in nature, collagen is a protein that works in concert with elastin to restore and maintain the structure of cells, thereby returning shape, tone, and position to the skin

Immediately after treatment, patients are able to return to their normal activities, including work and exercise regimens. Your skin may be a little red after treatment, but that will dissipate within a few hours. After that, continue your daily beauty regimen and expect no complications or downtime.
